A potentially landmark case for college athletics was ruled on by the Supreme Court on Monday, one that might have some far-reaching implications for the sport and for the concept of amateurism. Galen is joined by the Indy Star's Zach Osterman, who has written about issues relating to both the Alston vs NCAA case and NIL rights more generally, and the two of us discuss the nature of the case, the implications of the ruling, and what it means in the bigger scheme of things.
Scott went to the race; Galen had to watch it on TV. The guys spend an hour discussing one of their favorite sporting events of the year, what the crowds were like, how the renovations looked, how the race stacked up competitively, and what (if anything) it might mean for the future of the Indy 500.
