Episode description

Dr. Chad Hoggan is an Associate Professor of Adult Education at North Carolina State University and Co-editor of the Journal of Transformative Education. Dr. Hoggan's research is human transformation and learning.

We all grow up and form a certain identity for ourselves and how we see the world.

Then, oftentimes we have, as Dr. Hoggan would describe them, disorienting dilemmas where our assumptions of the world are challenged for whatever reason.

This could be a traumatic life-changing experience or even the small cumulative effect of learning, questioning, and growing. Either way, we are forced to re-evaluated who we are and potentially change and transform into something different.

This is what this episode is about. How we navigate those transformations in a healthy way...
