The Holidays are over with one notable exception: New Year’s Day. This is the day that many people make some sort of resolution.

People have been making New Year’s Resolutions as far back as the 1600s. Perhaps even longer than that. Why are we so set on making resolutions when they often don’t last?

What’s really happening is people do so much of what they shouldn’t in December. They then resolve to change all of that on New Year’s Day, just to fall back into their bad habits later in January!

The real question is, why just on January 1? What holds us back from resolving to do things at any other time of the year? 

In this episode, we debate our thoughts and approaches around resolutions and dig into a concept called “Turning Corners” that we touched on last week. 

Using the “Turning Corners” concept, we can propel ourselves to greater accomplishment, better discipline, and more satisfaction in our lives. And importantly, we can do this when the opportunity is right, as opposed to when the time of year is right.
