The Our House Is On Fire Monthly Series will take a look at various issues impacting the black community. The purpose is to discuss areas that have been overlooked or not given attention to and seek solutions. The goal is healing and moving forward from a place of unity and understanding.
This episode is a Podcast Collaboration with Mr. Blackovation, host of the All Things Black Podcast. We will talk about how some damaging behaviors that have been celebrated, promoted, and accepted in our community can have lasting negative impacts on our younger generations. Sure, it IS your life...but be aware of who is watching and what those long-term impacts may be.

The podcast will take a look at how our perceptions of ourselves and the world around us impact how we relate to one another. With a male and female perspective from guests in different fields and life experiences, we aim to use real-world examples of how the looking glass self-theory has an impact on all relationships. We will address societal, cultural, and mental health concepts in everyday terms as we work towards personal growth that allows us to build authentic relationships and attract connections meant for us.
