In todays episode we hear from Don Cardona about how you can use video more effectively in your business to communicate the message of why and what you do.  Video not only allows you to communicate the message but it allows you to introduce emotion which is what makes it so powerful.

Don Cardona is owner of Cardona Creative LLC, a video strategy and consulting firm based in the Denver metro area that specializes in helping business owners connect with their clients through video and storytelling.  Prior to launching his business he spent a combined 28 years with sports television networks such as TVG, ESPN and NBC Sports as director, producer and senior coordinating producer, working on some of the most prestigious events around the world such as World Series, MLB All Star Games, Super Bowls, the Boston Marathon, and Olympics and he oversaw the day-to-day productions at NBC Sports Group/Olympic Channel in Denver, CO.  Don has won numerous awards within the sports and broadcast industry (Telly Awards, Cynopsis Sports Awards and an Emmy Sports Award Certificate) in live sports coverage, studio shows and feature/documentary projects. Cardona Creative most recently won the top award at the NATOA (Award of Excellence) for the Recycle Cycle video he produced for the City and County of Denver in 2019.  Don is also a multi award-winning filmmaker.  His feature documentary won Best Documentary, Best Cinematography and 6 additional awards for “Buckin’ Bulls: The Story of Ty Rinaldo,” at the 6th Annual Wild Bunch Film Festival. The film was picked up for global distribution.  Don’s short film “Roxy” recently completed touring Australia in the Top Dog International Film Festival, and picked up 5 awards at the 2nd Cowpokes International Film Festival.  A third short, “Punishment” won Best Documentary at the 2018 My Røde Reel International Short Film Competition.  In addition, Don produces and hosts the Sports In The Making Podcast, a show focused on talking with people who have made an impact on sports and sports broadcasting.  Guests include Marc Rowley, inventor of the Pylon Cam used in college and professional football; Dave Fanucchi, former Director of Communications for USA Baseball’s 2000 Olympic Gold Medal team under the leadership of Baseball Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda; Florida Boxing Hall of Fame announcer Claudia Trejos; and John Howard, Technical Director for NBC’s Sunday Night Football.
