At the same time, there is a hidden candidate market composed of terrific candidates who are often overlooked by employers. These candidates include veterans, military spouses, people with disabilities, and other underserved populations. Great candidates who struggle to connect with employers for a variety of reasons and tend to be more loyal when given an opportunity. Their cognitive diversity also strengthens your team. Ed is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about improving the quality of life and employability of people who are blind or visually-impaired. He believes there is a business ROI to hire people with disabilities. He is working with several veteran-owned businesses which focus on increasing the meaningful employment of veterans, military spouses, and people with disabilities.
