In spring of this year, Google and Yahoo made significant changes to how they decide which emails to pass on to the recipients' inbox, spam folder, and even which emails to just delete. Back in 2021, Apple introduced a change to how they process every email in Apple Mail. To improve security and performance, they preload (aka open) the data from every email. After September 2021, your open rates are inflated. Every email sent to someone who uses Apple Mail counts as an open (even though they may or may not have actually read it). I have a client who saw her open rates double in 1 month. But! All is not lost.
In September 2023, an updated version of iOS made a major change to which new podcast episodes will be downloaded. Short story? Blurting out on your sales page that you offer X coaching sessions for Y dollars comes from what YOU want. It does not offer the information that your clients need to hear for them to tackle their issues. Showing up with a service mindset is offering them the information they need in order to get to where they want to be.
