On this week's episode, Springfield is overrun by bears (kind of) and to combat this the residents ask for a bear patrol to monitor the neighbourhood. After seeing the cost of this being a $5 tax increase, Homer and the townspeople are furious. Mayor Quimby diverts the attention to a perceived illegal immigration problem, and announces proposition 24 which threatens to deport Apu and the other illegal immigrants from Springfield.(Synopsis at 12:45)
