Steve was the physical model for Doc Savage when batman books started using James Bama to paint new cover in 1964, and Steve's real features continue to be the signaturer look for Doc 50 years later. Steve also starred in the 1954 Flash Gordon TV series. The book is a great tributekl to a forgotten Nerd Culture hero .Michael also talks about working with Howard Chaykin and Denys Cowan.
