Story Transcript:
Lt: Saulė krito ant auksinių Kuršių nerijos kopų.
En: The sun was setting on the golden dunes of the Curonian Spit.
Lt: Karštis spaudė kas žingsnį.
En: The heat pressed with every step they took.
Lt: Eglė ir Mantas stovėjo šalia grupės.
En: Eglė and Mantas stood next to the group.
Lt: Jie buvo vasaros ekskursijoje su mokykla.
En: They were on a summer school trip.
Lt: Jie abu žvelgė link tolumoje mirgančio Baltijos jūros vandens.
En: Both of them looked towards the shimmering waters of the Baltic Sea in the distance.
Lt: „Egle, neik per toli,“ perspėjo Mantas.
En: “Eglė, don’t go too far,” Mantas warned.
Lt: Jis jautėsi atsakingas už visą klasę.
En: He felt responsible for the entire class.
Lt: Jo balsas buvo tvirtas, bet viduje kankino abejonės.
En: His voice was firm, but inside he was tormented with doubts.

En: “I want to find something special. I want to prove it to you.”
Lt: „Eglė, tai pavojinga,“ atsakė Mantas.
En: “Eglė, that’s dangerous,” Mantas replied.
Lt: Bet Eglė jau žingsniavo pirmyn.
En: But Eglė was already stepping forward.
Lt: Jos širdis plakė greičiau.
En: Her heart beat faster.
Lt: Ji žinojo, kad miškai ir kopos slepia daug paslapčių.
En: She knew that the forests and dunes hid many secrets.
Lt: Ji norėjo atrasti kažką, ko niekas dar nematė.
En: She wanted to discover something no one had ever seen.
Lt: Ji norėjo įrodyti sau ir Mantui, kad gali būti drąsi.
En: She wanted to prove to herself and to Mantas that she could be brave.

En: Mantas sighed deeply.

En: A strong wind picked up.

En: The sand spun blindingly.
Lt: Bet kartu su ja jautėsi ir Mantas.
En: But alongside it, she felt Mantas.
Lt: „Turiu vėl įrodyti, kad galiu,“ ji galvojo.
En: “I have to prove I can,” she thought.
Lt: Bet savijauta greitai keitėsi.
En: But her feelings quickly changed.
Lt: Ji pasiklydo.

Lt: Jos širdis plakė iš baimės.

En: “Eglė, I have a plan!” shouted Mantas.
Lt: Jis tvirtai laikė ją už rankos.
En: He held her hand firmly.
Lt: „Eime kartu ir suraskime kelią.“
En: “Let’s go together and find the way.”
Lt: Jo balsas dabar buvo stiprus ir pasitikintis.
En: His voice was now strong and confident.
Lt: Jie ėjo kartu, žingsnis po žingsnio.
En: They walked together, step by step.
Lt: Vėjas buvo stiprus, bet jie nepasidavė.
En: The wind was strong, but they did not give up.
Lt: Po kurio laiko pamatė kažką pažįstamo.
En: After some time, they saw something familiar.
