Episode description

This week, we're still getting our heads around coronavirus. We’re newly locked down in the UK, we're all getting used to remote working and as we heard on the last episode with Dr Aman Gupta, the front line is preparing in almost military style for what is going to be a war on coronavirus and a huge influx of patients.

To talk more about the clinical and technology implications, I have Dr Lydia Yarlott with me. Lydia is a community paediatrician and founder of the communication app Pando - a communication tool for health and social care that essentially gives clinicians a replacement for Whatsapp with some extra functionality making it ideal for primary, secondary and tertiary care.

We chat about how the exchange and flow of information is so important right now and how Pando are helping; we talk identity as a doctor and the privilege and responsibility coming with that right now, Lydia talks about what it’s like in paediatrics and we talk about innovation at a time like this and how things are changing and might change in the future.
