When we look at the microcosm of our own team’s performance, we are the ones who get to choose the standard, so it’s useful to reflect on what each of us perceives to be exceptional performance. 

Unfortunately, so many leaders bandy around the term “high performance” that it’s at risk of becoming a meaningless cliché.

How do we give ourselves a reality check? What do we use as a benchmark? How do we calibrate our efforts and set our own sights on what we might consider to be superior performance?
