King's X is an American rock band that originated in 1979 in Springfield, Missouri. They were first called The Edge and later became Sneak Preview before settling on its current name in 1985.
The band's current lineup has remained intact for more than three decades, consisting of vocalist and bassist Doug Pinnick, drummer Jerry Gaskill and guitarist Ty Tabor. Their music combines progressive metal, funk and soul with vocal arrangements influenced by gospel, blues, and British Invasion rock groups.

From the Faith Hope Love album - King’s X is a 3 piece band that have some of the most intricate arrangements both musically and vocally - for me the end of this song is a masterpiece - the pauses, hesitations, breaks and runs just make me smile - start at the 3:00 minute mark… 3:37 has a great drum break, the song ending just keeps going and going and going - this is the Energizer bunny song for sure!
