Episode description
On the 28th of February 1979, Joe Gallagher and Frieda Hunter were discovered in a pool of blood in their bed in their home at 3 Hallbottom Street in Hyde, Greater Manchester. One of Joe's colleagues had entered the home through a downstairs broken window and discovered the couple. Joe and Frieda's lives were analysed thoroughly by the police and in the press which caused the family even more distress. The murders are still unsolved.Important information provided by:
