On the morning of October 20th, 2007, Lee Cutler dropped a friend off after spending the night with a group of friends. He was then seen by an employee at a local gas station. Two days later, his car was found almost 200 miles away from home near Baraboo, Wisconsin, but Lee was nowhere to be found.

At the campsite, items were discovered that Lee's family later confirmed were his.
