Episode description
Don't get me wrong, having goals is important. But this is where most people stop. I learned long ago after years of frustration and disappointment to fall in love with the system rather than the goal..
What does that mean?
Well, if you think about it...a goal is really just a future destination. And if it's an audacious one, it'll require a lot of consistent, daily commitment. Remember, it's a marathon not a sprint. Which is a perfect example. Running a marathon is a great goal.
I decided to sign up for the 13 hour Ironman Triathlon in France back in 2012. And the only reason I had a hope in heck of achieving it - was by falling in love with the process towards making it happen. Putting in the work, every day became a ritualized routine which ultimately lead to the goal being achieved.
