This week we are making Drinks With Johnny history as we feature our MOST GUESTS EVER on one episode with the cast and crew of the upcoming film, Manifest West!
We are joined by the film's writers and directors Louie Gibson & Joe Dietsch, along with a couple of the film's stars - Annet Mahendru & Milo Gibson for a sit down conversation about the development and production of the film. Louie and Joe divulge into the casting process, and how they were able to get both Tim Heidecker and Micahel Cudlitz on board for the film. Joe also explains how the pandemic didn't necessarily influence the film's plot, but definitely impacted the film's production being the first team out to work post-lockdown.
Louie & Milo reflect back on their childhood, and what it was like growing up around film sets. Louie reveals that it was always a passion for him to create, while Milo explains why he didn't get into the industry until later in life. Annet tells a story about Louie driving an 18-wheeler and her job before getting into acting. Joe reveals how he & Louie met, and what rock band he's directed and produced music videos for.
Manifest West is a coming of age story that follows a 10 year old girl whose family spirals out of control after they move off the grid, becoming embroiled in a standoff with the US Government. Your baggage comes with you, even if you move to the top of a mountain.
