Colin starts the show by addressing him getting sick while on-air on The Herd and that he’s feeling better now (4:00). Then, he tries to make sense of the Luka Doncic trade to the Lakers and why the trade compensation wasn’t nearly enough.  He also explains why this move has been in the works for a while, why the looming supermax contract extension was a contributing factor and why LeBron will find a way to make it work on the court (5:30).

Then he’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” to preview the Super Bowl!

They start by talking about Patrick Mahomes and dissecting what his secret sauce is when facing pressure, and why facing an increasingly good Chiefs defense in practice has helped sharpen him (21:00). They debate where the Chiefs would rank amongst the all-time great teams if they are able to win three straight championships by beating an incredibly talented Eagles roster (29:30). 

They highlight Jalen Hurts being subpar under pressure as a weakness the Chiefs can exploit (35:30), and John predicts that Dallas Goedert could be in for a big game for the Eagles (39:45).

They react to the news of Chip Kelly being hired as OC for the Raiders and debate whether the Raiders will be viable next under head coach Pete Carroll (45:00). They discuss who the top options are to land star pass rusher Myles Garrett after Garrett demanded a trade and what the trade compensation should look like (48:45) and pour cold water on the idea that there’s a trade market for receiver Rams Cooper Kupp (54:00).
