My chat with Kate(@cascadiacowgirl)was rich and fulfilling. Her career in the industry has spanned many roles pathways and cities. Her lifestyle changed from NYC to Seattle and in this conversation, we talk about those changes that impacted her life, and the decisions she made to get to where she is now. It was so nice to hear of the intention of place, and presence that she places herself in. Over and over I find in these conversations that those that are placed in a hospitality role bring care and kindness to others, and are sometimes late to do the same for themselves (myself included.) It is never too late to bring the same energy and caring demeanor that you reserve for others into your own space. Kate, thank you for sharing your time and your story.
Founded in 2016, the mission of Ben's Friends is to offer hope, fellowship, and a path forward to anyone who struggles with substance abuse or addiction. By coming together, starting a dialogue, and acknowledging that substance abuse cannot be overcome by isolation and willpower alone, Ben's Friends hopes to write a new chapter in the lives of food and beverage professionals across the country.
