Episode description

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Firing On All Cylinders"? I think it has something to do with cars and peak performance. This week's episode is just that. Peak performance at it's peak. Following our new format, we tackle the complex yet tired old story of 'white saviorism' gone "Rouge". Using the recent fallout in Portland, Oregon from the organization 'Wall Of Mom's' and their "apparent" anti-black racist behavior, we dive deep and uncover the details of how well-meaning assistance mixed with poor communication skills can have toxic and dangerous results. Something about the road to hell and good intentions comes to mind. This is a clear-cut case of what not to do when you're claiming to help marginalized people.

Also, we talk the latest news of the week, people doing great work in their communities, and we say the names and tell the stories of our fallen due to state-sanctioned police violence.

This is a great episode to listen to because we made it and we're pretty cool. So you should listen to it. Never late and right on time. As always, thanks so much for hanging with us as we unlearn the BS and relearn the good stuff.
