Building an offline professional networking platform from the ground up - A ‘Women Work Wonders’ perspective.
Margaret Afolake and Melton fellow Ranjini Rao HS share their inspiration behind building Women Work Wonders, an inclusive, grassroots level offline professional networking platform, and their experience so far in implementing a pilot version in the Agbado community, Nigeria. It walks through the impact of the pandemic on the female labor force, the importance of a bottom-up approach, major challenges and highlights of working at the community level.
