Making a difference in education is everything to Cambium Learning Group CEO Ashley Andersen Zantop. To talk about improving outcomes in education, Andersen Zantop sits down with Voices of eLearning hosts JW Marshall and Leena Marie Saleh.
As a former teacher and collegiate coach, Andersen Zantop had a passion for creating change, but wasn’t convinced that the traditional educational pathway was the answer, “I thought the way to combine the things that I love about making an impact in education with being able to do more of that and to reach more students was to say ‘How can we use business or enterprise to solve some of these problems…?’”
One of the unique aspects of Cambium, noted Andersen Zantop, is building a “...really focused and dedicated set of professionals who are closest to our customers combined with solutions, services, tools that do what they are intended to do.”
Cambium promotes positive change throughout 94% of U.S. school districts and helps districts find solutions that continue to promote success in the classroom.
To continue successfully growing and impacting U.S. students, Cambium, now a billion dollar company, aims to reach out to those students they are missing while also looking to grow. “We’ll continue to look for other businesses, solutions, teams and innovations that align with our purpose that we want to invest in and help continue to grow in their purpose,” said Andersen Zantop.
It’s critical in the edtech space to continue striving toward a vision and never lose this model, “Cambium’s purpose is to help every student and every educator feel seen, valued, and supported,” noted Andersen Zantop.
The essential elements Cambium continues to focus on are “simplicity and certainty and now” to continue guiding forward in the edtech space and empower the future of education.
