In this week's show our guest is Dr. Jonathan Roth. He received a second lieutenant designation from the Empire State Military Academy and earned a Ph.D. in Ancient History from Columbia University's History program. He has taught at Tulane University in New Orleans and served as Chair of the History Department of San Jose University in California in the past. Since 1999 he has been the Director of the department's Burdick Military History Project.During our program we discussed the role of the Roman army in military history, it's impact on world history and how race and ethnicity were perceived in antiquity.
