Episode description

"It's not what you drive, its what drives you."

Dr. Hattie N. Washington is nationally recognized for her work in the education, foster care, and non-profit arenas.

For over 22 years, she served as a tenured Professor at Coppin State University in Baltimore and made history as the University’s first female vice-president.

During that same time, she founded Aunt Hattie’s Place, and reared over 100 abused foster boys; they affectionately refer to her as “Aunt Hattie."

Dr. Washington is also an author of three books: “DRIVEN TO SUCCEED: An Inspirational Memoir of Lessons Learned Through Faith, Family and Favor”; “DETERMINADA A TRIUNFAR: Unas Memorias Inspiradoras de lecciones aprendidas a traves de la fe, la familia y el favor” (DRIVEN Book translated into Spanish); and “Aunt Hattie's Cookbook: Southern Comfort Food Favorites”.
