Episode description

Justin Wirick has been performing with the Broadway National Tour of Wicked for more than eight years, and he's loved every minute of it. Because of the show, he's gotten to see many interesting places and explore his world with his touring family.

Starting from a young age, Just was tumbling, dancing and performing every chance he had. Upon graduation from high school, instead of heading off to college as planned, he followed his intuition and headed to to LA, where he began auditioning for shows. Justin participated in Wicked's open audition process, but it wasn't until a few years later that he landed the part.

Justin is grateful for the opportunity and has used his involvement in the show to give back to his community. Justin acts as the tour's Producer for its charity events: Witches Night Off and Wicked After Dark, and the coordinator of their collection efforts, all of which benefit Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS. The cast raises around $250,000 each year for the organization and local charities within the cities where they perform.

Join us as we peek behind the Emerald Curtain and get a closer look at life on the road with Wicked.
