Episode description

Dr. Katie Vincer Sears is the mother of three children under the age of 5, the owner of 3 thriving dental practices and a dental assistance school, a philanthropist, consultant and world traveler. One wonders how she has time for all of it, but she makes it seem easy.

No stranger to hard work, Katie chose a non-traditional route for her career, choosing to focus on providing dental care to individuals primarily on Medicaid or with no insurance. This type of care has huge stigmas attached to it, but Dr. Vincer faced them head on, and has proven them all to be false. It's, therefore, no surprise that this desire to positively impact her world lead her and her family to Africa, where she provided dental services for the Maasai tribe of Kenya.

Katie downplays her accomplishments and efforts, crediting a strong work ethic and a family that taught her to value service to others. Those around her know it's more than that. Dr. Vincer Sears has been highly recognized locally and nationally for the work she has done. Among her awards, she was recently named to the inaugural class of the American Dental Association's 10 Under 10 - an award recognizing the nation's best dentists who have practiced for 10 years or less.

We're thrilled to share her story on 200 Proof Life.

Enjoy!
