How did Jeff become a Spanish teacher? Well, Jeff traveled to Peru in 2012. He had a one month vacation from his job in the U.S. So he wanted to travel during his vacation. At first, he planned to stay there for only three weeks. He visited some beautiful places in Peru. He went to the top of Machu Picchu and he loved it. It was amazing and he had a great time in Peru. After two weeks, he decided to stay there! He hated his job and he loved spending more time in Peru. So he decided to quit his job and stay longer in Peru. He called his boss and said, ‘I want to quit my job. I don’t want to work there anymore. Goodbye forever!’ Jeff quit his job and stayed there, but he had to find a job and a place to live. He wanted to teach English in Peru and travel around the country. So, he looked for a teaching job in Peru and he found a job in a school. He taught English to high school students. Slowly, he started to learn Spanish. He also took some Spanish classes in a college there to improve his Spanish quickly. After three years of living and teaching in Peru, he learned Spanish fluently! He also learned so much about Peruvian culture, history, and life. He ate a lot of delicious food, and he made a lot of friends there. He spent three wonderful years in Peru. When he came back to the U.S., he decided to teach Spanish. He started teaching in a school. That’s how Jeff learned Spanish and that’s how he became a Spanish teacher.
