In this episode I talk with Dr. Filtzer about his experience in the U.S. Army as a wartime field surgeon in Vietnam. Dr. Filtzer tells his first hand account of running over a land mine to save a fallen medic who was ambushed in Vietnam. Dr. Filtzer is a Harvard graduate and received the Silver Star for this wartime event in 70's and is still practicing medicine today.
