Episode description
Kwaidan (1964) is a Japanese anthology horror film with four stories. Based on a 1904 book of the same name, this film won the Jury Prize at Cannes. It's a beautifully shot film that plays with color, and silence, to evoke a mood, and draw the audience in. This week host Wyndham Jennings talks about each vignette, and how they stack up against each other, as well as the historical background of each tale. So join him, and see if he can make a film you haven't seen into a new favorite.
