President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo spoke to the Somali parliament today in order to reverse the recent two year extension for his presidency. The U-turn arrives after opposition, international community and the public rejected the extension and forcing military to return from their barracks and to back the opposition in the capital to protest what they deem as "illegal extension." Violence erupted with at least 100,000 people displaced (according to the UN) from Mogadishu.
