EPISODE 76 - When Your Parent Passes Away and You Realize How Fleeting Life Really Is

Losing a parent, family member or friend feels like someone special has been taken from you - and that is the key thing here - they have been taken, removed, stripped from your future - all you have is what you can remember and the things that they have left behind. Family members and friends go through your personal belongings, what is left over gets donated or parted out to others. There is loss, because something has been taken.

Now let's flip this around - what if our perspective was one of gratitude in place of loss... What if we were to ask "How was I so lucky to have this person on my life - why was I chosen to be included in their story - why was I blessed to have had known them and to have been known by them.

What a different perspective and outlook - a new lens that we can view those close to us that remain in our life.

You don't know that it is the last time until it is - and then, it is too late to do anything about it.

I lost my Mom suddenly and we just buried her days ago next to my Dad. You learn many things during grief - I hope the thoughts in this episode help you on your journey - be kind, love much, forgive often.
