TRANSCRIPT:

Hello there this is teacher Eric, welcome to your SKILL UP program. The purpose of this activity is for the continuity of your fluency. This program has the objective of transforming you into a good storyteller. I believe that by being able to tell stories, you will be able to become a good communicator as your thought organization will be polished and enhanced in various strategies.

What’s your plan for today?

At the end of this activity you will be able to;

1. Share your plan for today.

2. Use vocabulary words.

Hi! Have you already filled out your BUCKET LIST?

BUCKET LIST - It's a term used when you are talking about a number of experiences or achievements that a person hopes to have or accomplish during their lifetime.

Actually, most of the things I put on my bucket list are adventurous activities. And things that I can possibly do which will test my limit. This list includes bungee jumping, scuba diving, going on a wildlife safari, driving a formula one car, joining airsoft, joining an archery competition, visiting beaches, hiking the mountains and forests of my province, and a lot more.

If you notice, most of them are extreme sports because I really love testing the waters and last weekend, I literally tested the water.

During our weekend activity in the academy, we went out and hike in the forest to go to one of the well-known waterfalls in our province. We walked for an hour on a very challenging and steep trail.

BUT... the long journey was worth it because, at the end of the trail, we have seen the beauty of the waterfall that we only see in pictures before.

It's one of the most pristine places I've ever been to. The water is so clear. And that's the reason why I was brave enough to swim though I don't know how to do so. I just used wood that helped me float and not drown.

Moreover, I was able to do it on my own because I trust my colleagues so much that in case I drown, they will rescue me.

As I told you, I really love testing the waters and checking how deep it is.

In my bucket list, I used the vocabulary:

1. WELL-KNOWN - famous or popular

2. TEST THE WATER - to try something to see if you like it or if something will work.

3. PRISTINE - clean and fresh; unspoiled

How about you? Have you tried testing the waters and pushing your limits just to do the things that you have written on your bucket list? I'd like to hear you talking about it.
