When we think of matter, our minds typically drift towards the traditional states: solid, liquid, and gas. These states are foundational to our understanding of the physical world, each characterized by distinct properties and behaviors. However, in the early 20th century, two groundbreaking scientists, Satyendra Nath Bose and Albert Einstein, introduced an entirely new state of matter — one that exists neither as a solid, liquid, nor gas. This state, known as Bose-Einstein condensate (BEC), has since transformed our understanding of physics and opened up new avenues for exploration in quantum mechanics.
