Episode description

In this first full length episode Rafa and Phil are joined by two fellow members of Oikos Church, Denise and Steph, to discuss how many Christians, especially younger believers, feel that there is a standard they need to attain, and their inability to reach that standard means that feel they are frauds. In this discussion we talk about how the Gospel should help us to know that God has called us knowing full well our inability to be perfect. The truth of God's forgiveness and having a new identity firmly grounded in the fact that we are God's children, covered by the work of Jesus, should lead us all the more to walk in the work He has prepared for us, despite our imperfections, knowing that to be a Christian doesn't mean perfection, it means reliance on the One who is perfect!

This episode was recorded during a church retreat so you may hear coffee machines, peacocks, dogs and (if you were there) yourself in the background. Despite the audio quality not being perfect, we wanted to share this episode as is because here at The Good Fight we don't claim to have it all together, we're just trying to do our best!
