The Ukrainian alcoholic drinks market continued its decline in 2016, yet the decline significantly slowed down in comparison with 2015 when sales volume dropped by 20 percent. The negative performance was fueled by increased excise duties, the weak state of the economy and the introduction of additional costs for stakeholders - leading to price spikes and the booming of the black market. However, the main shock brought by the economic crises has passed, so steep declines are not anticipated in the near future.
