The GDR would have been 75 years old on October 7. How should we remember the GDR? Should we talk about the injustice and the many border deaths or should we talk about it with a good dose of Ostalgia? We spoke to Günter Wetzel. He fled the GDR in 1979 in a self-built hot air balloon and is now traveling all over Germany as a contemporary witness. - Die DDR wäre am 7. Oktober 75 Jahre alt geworden. Wie man an die DDR ernnern soll, ist keine einfache Frage. Soll man über das Unrecht und die vielen Grenztoten oder doch mit einer guten Portion Ostalgie darüber reden? Wir haben mit Günter Wetzel gesprochen. Er ist 1979 mit einem selbst gebauten Heißluftballon aus der DDR geflohen und ist heute als Zeitzeuge in ganz Deutschland unterwegs.
