We begin this episode with a harrowing tale of bravery, passion, and perseverance. Through the maelstrom of obstacles and the harsh cruelty of Mother Nature, a hero emerges that the world may never see again! ..... Ok.... maybe that's a slight exaggeration.... but Sheldon did do something he's pretty proud of! Meredith also has a couple of proud moments of her own with a graduating daughter and all the fun that comes with it!
Our guest is a member of the Chattanooga studio team and we hear her truly inspiring tale of injury, recovery, finding Echelon and loving it so much she makes it part of her work life! Cris Larsen has a great story that you won't want to miss. We learn all about the joy of visiting riders, her incredible recovery from serious injury, and the (not so) secret recipe of the magical cool towels you get at the end of a studio ride.
In connected fitness news, Peloton and iFit put down the gloves and are friends again.... but it comes with a couple of trade offs. Zwift cancels their smart bike and lays off the entire team working on it. No more live studio content for iFit. We talk about several businesses that are focused on "food as medicine" and how they are garnering some big investments. Finally we talk about how physical gyms may be having the last laugh after so many left them for dead.
In Echelon news... yeah... we take on the ever controversial "summer schedule"... don't @ us, k? #JGTB storm Chattanooga and the results looked fun! Meredith has a ton of shout outs too.
We wrap up with a recap of last episode's Snackdown! and we take on a new question that ties into Mindfulness May.
