Episode description
In this episode of M&A War Stories, I put Toby Tester under pressure with a theoretical scenario
Imagine this? You're a technology business and in the past three years one of your regions has made 2 acquisitions that are aimed at enhancing the products and services that you can offer to clients. You will also ‘acquire’ some new customers as a result of these acquisitions. To date, you haven’t integrated those acquisitions into your core business but you have had some sales success selling cross business products into your existing customer base.
Your board has just decided that it’s time for this region to integrate all of the acquisitions into the core business, and simultaneously the business has just appointed a new regional CEO; someone who is stepping into their first role as a CEO.
You head up a team that’s been put in place to help integrate the businesses and you’ve got 30 minutes maximum with the CEO to advise on the top three priorities.
What priorities would you recommend? What would you do?
