Martin Dumollard, renowned in French history, is infamous for a series of gruesome murders that is believed to have taken place in France between 1855 to 1861. The case was significant in French criminal history and attracted widespread international attention.
Dumollard, posing as a head gardener of a chateau, would seek out vulnerable young girls, working as maids, and offer them a position at a chateau in the country at supposed fabulous wages.
Alone and isolated with Dumollard whilst they walked towards the imaginary chateau, Dumollard would do unspeakable things to the girls, afterwards often burying them alive.
