The famous Mary Ann Britland story of unfulfilled lust, Methodically, Mary Ann kills off everyone in her path to get the man of her dreams, including an inconvenient child.
The story of the battered to death rich spinster, the medically termed dwarf and the beloved terrier hung on by a wire on a bed post.
Lastly, the horrendous child snatching, battering and brutality and the forensics which caught the man responsible.
All this in the backdrop of the rugged beauty that is Lancashire.
