The Case of Herbet Rowse Armstrong: Murderous Mondays
In 1922, Herbert Rowse Armstrong was a well-respected solicitor in the quaint town of Hay-on-Wye. A slightly built dapper man, on the surface he seems devoted to his wife Katherine who is known for browbeating her husband and publicly humiliating him. But then, Katherine becomes very unwell, and a business rival also becomes violently ill after eating a scone handed to him by Armstrong.
We take a look at this famous case which won Armstrong the distinction of being the only solicitor in the history of the UK to have been hung for murder.
