CRT or Critical Race Theory has been the talk of the town this year, but with an interesting catch – it seems as though most people don’t actually know what it is. Cue this episode, and this interview with the iconic Dr. Khiara Bridges. She’s not only served facts on ice to the not-so-pleasantly notorious Josh Hawley, but she’s cultivated an impressive academic legal career at Berkeley that includes the publishing of her book Critical Race Theory: A Primer. In our conversation, we chat about the research and process for the book itself, as well as the many questions ‘round the block on what CRT is, its origin story, where and how it’s taught, intersectionality, and even a tad of the ol’ GOP.
