Christian Beliefs, Episode 11: In this episode, we will learn about the atonement. We will learn the cause of the atonement, its nature, why penal substitution is necessary, and the effects of the atonement. Then, we will discuss two controversial topics: Did Jesus descend into hell, and what is the extent of the atonement: did Jesus die for every person or just the elect?
