To maintain a sense of momentum we need to feel appropriately challenged in our roles. The key is achieving the right balance. Feeling a little outside of our personal comfort zone is a good place for personal growth as we have to engage our wider potential to succeed. If this goes too far, we will retreat into survival mode, where we resist change and new demands.
