Tonight on The Sound we hear from hip hopper Nur-D. Nur-D is a Minneapolis artist with a variety of talents including rapping, singing and spoken word. With a conscious message delivered with no curses, he defies the conception of hip hop today. Nur-D displays his influences in geek culture as well as socially conscious messages. Tonight we're listening to and talking about his latest album "38th", where he carries the tremendous weight of the murder of George Floyd, channeling it into concise, powerful art.  I'm Matt Drewry with Nur-D tonight on KQAL's The Sound.
