Some careers are truly a 'calling' as the amount of attentiveness, care, support and empathy that is needed to be successful within that career is great.  Andrea Richardson is a certified full spectrum Doula and Founder of Womb Care Womxn who answered that call! Join me, Taylor Sparks, your host, as we delve deep into the amount of forethought it takes to be a successful Doula.

Andrea Richardson Bio:
Andrea is the owner of Womb Care Womxn. She offers holistic, healing and queer affirming full spectrum Doula support and care to Black folks and families. Andrea is a spirited and grounded Creative from Saint Louis, MO. In May 2019, Andrea received her birth, labor and postpartum Doula training through Jamaa Birth Village in Ferguson, Missouri. 

She is also a certified sex doula via National Black Doulas Association  and a certified Pregnancy and Infant Loss advocate (via PAILAdvocates) & certified Death Doula (via Old School Bruja). 

She believes in transformation and liberation for Black and brown womxn, babies & families that can happen when great advocacy & care giving are cultivated.  It’s her desire to assist and make space for liberation in her communities.
