This is the third episode in a season of podcasts from 5app all about ‘Getting Stuff Done’. It’s great to hear from theorists about what we should be doing, but hearing from people who are actually rolling up their sleeves and Getting Stuff Done is far more valuable (we think!). 


Why is this topic important? Because often we get comms wrong by not thinking enough about it – by not understanding that the nature of our work is 

• communication based
• engagement based, and
• people based.  

L&D operates in lots of different spheres and reaches into the business - to do that well you need to communicate well. Ultimately our purpose is to help people be better at what they need to do, ie more effective, efficient, and increase performance. We need to look at this picture holistically. 


In this episode we hear from a series of experts – Arash Mazinani, Dan Hewitt, Simon Gibson, Sally Rhodes, Jodie Pritchard and Liam Moore – about how we can drive the  changes we want by getting the holy trinity of learning, engagement and comms right. They explain how we can connect with the people who are not already engaged in our work (as well as keeping those who are already engaged, engaged!).
