Candice and Felicity are joined by Ayumi Uyeda - who’s aiming to reshape the property market with her new start-up Proppie, a mortgage sharing matchmaker platform designed to help millennials make a start into property. Ayumi was most recently was the Managing Director of Blackmores. She has held General Management and Senior Global positions at Bayer in Japan, South East Asia and the USA in Consumer Health and Pharmaceuticals, and has successfully started up e-commerce business models. Ayumi got her start as a hospital pharmacist in Brisbane, which formed the foundation of her pursuit for health and her belief that “we are nothing without our health”. She is inspired by problems and is relentless with tackling these in new ways, deriving immense satisfaction from the positive impact that solving such problems can have on people. In this conversation they talk about Ayumi’s passion for property, the fast-pace of tech businesses, the climate of and her vision for Proppie.
