In this week's podcast, we talk with Gemma Nugent – the principal lawyer at SoundLegal. She is a construction, engineering and consulting contract specialist.  Gemma holds a unique perspective on the Construction & Property industry, having worked extensively with subcontractors, contractors, principals and consultants on major infrastructure, construction and consulting projects in both the private and public sector.
 
Gemma started her legal career as the Associate to Justice Neville Owen at the Supreme Court of Western Australia before working as Corporate Council for International Engineering Consultancy, AECOM.

We spoke about current issues within contracts, her experience with Head Contractors, and Subcontractors, and limiting risk within contracts.  We also spoke about the items to focus on when reviewing contracts and how to avoid common contractual pitfalls.
