I’m diving into: My experiences growing up that contributed to feeling like an outsider How this experience effects the lens through which I see today How it’s easier to focus on fixing an external thing and how this grants us the illusion of control The keystones of the human experience: security, connection, belonging, acceptance, love, feeling seen — are not achieved through losing weight, buying a house, or earning more money The trap our brains fall into The underlying messages that we’ve been conditioned to believe: “this is what you should want”, “it should come naturally to everyone”
